Is it really free with no limits?

Yes. Because the merging happens on your own device rather than on our servers, there is nothing for us to meter — no file-size caps, no daily limits, no account needed.

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. The files are read and combined by code running in your browser. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and merging still works.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

Yes. If a file is locked you will be asked for its password, and files with hidden encryption (like many bank e-statements) are handled automatically.
